Prepare both sites

Install and activate Suite on both sites. Use pretty permalinks and make sure the destination already contains the pages and image attachments that should receive data. Matching uses the same URL path, not database IDs or domain names.

  1. Install Suite on source and destination sites.
  2. Confirm the destination uses pretty permalinks.
  3. Create destination pages and image attachments at paths that match the source records to transfer.

Export selected data

On the source, open Aomark Suite → Settings → Export / Import. Select SEO titles and descriptions, saved schema, Quick Summary, image alt text and/or Suite settings. Choose Export selected data and keep the JSON file for the migration.

  1. Open Export / Import on the source site.
  2. Select only the sections required for the migration.
  3. Choose Export selected data and securely retain the JSON file.

Preview the destination import

On the destination, select the Aomark JSON file and the data sections to import. Review the preview and skipped or unmatched records. Choose Fill empty fields to preserve destination values, or Overwrite existing values only when replacing them is intended; then run the import.

  1. Select the JSON file on the destination and choose the intended sections.
  2. Choose Preview import and compare matches/skips with the known URL paths.
  3. Choose Fill empty fields or Overwrite existing values, then select Import selected data.

Understand what stays local

Transfer moves selected Suite metadata and settings, not page content, image files, Search Console tokens, Aomark connections, link indexes, cluster assignments or queued jobs. Images must already exist at matching paths. Missing paths and aliases are skipped. Quick Summary returns to Suite fields and is not inserted into the destination page body.

Verify the moved records

After import, open representative pages and attachments to confirm the right data landed on the right URLs. Review destination schema and settings for local ownership, then separately connect the destination site's Aomark account and Google property as needed.

  1. Open a matched page, a matched image, and a record with an existing destination value.
  2. Confirm the fields and public output belong to the intended destination records.
  3. Reconnect Aomark and Google separately if those services are needed.
